Research is a major part of the program in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. We are active in clinical research studies, basic laboratory research and simulation/education research.

Research in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is conducted by numerous faculty, residents, postdocs and technicians and generally falls into three distinct but highly complementary arenas.

Another key area of the Department of Anesthesiology is the Chronic Pain Management Center, which provides for the diagnosis and management of pain problems through an outpatient clinic environment.
