Patient navigators, community health workers and community organizers statewide are invited to this one-day summit. Topics will focus on links between the environment and cancer risk and working toward a more equitable and just future for all.
During this meeting, participants will:
- Gain skills and learn about resources related to:
- Environmental justice
- Addressing implicit bias
- Advocacy (legislative and organizational)
- Patient navigation program sustainability
- Developing a trauma informed mindset
- Build connections with other navigators and community health workers.
- Learn how to connect, engage and learn with CaNSuN.

Fee: No charge to attend
Parking: There are a few parking options available near the event location:
- On-street parking near Temple University Harrisburg: Parking meters- $4/hour
- Parking garage: $30- up to 24 hours
- More information on Harrisburg parking, including garage locations, may be found here.
- Transitpark: 815 Market Street, Harrisburg – $8/day. An 8-minute (0.4-mile) walk, mostly flat.
- City Island, $10 per day. A 15-minute (0.7-mile) walk across the historic Walnut Street pedestrian bridge onto Walnut Street.
