Are you a parent of an adolescent (age 11-17)?
Volunteers are needed for this study.
This research study is seeking parents of both males and females to complete five online surveys describing their experiences with vaccine information and thoughts about vaccinations.
Who Can Volunteer?
- Adult parents and guardians of an adolescent.
- Individuals who read and understand English.
- Individuals with an email address.
What Will Participants Do?
- Complete one online survey following their child’s appointment and then every 3 months for 12 months (5 surveys in total).
- May receive vaccine information.
What Will Participants Receive?
- Participants will receive a $25 gift card after completing each of the first four online surveys, and a $50 gift card for completing the final online survey ($150 total for five surveys).

Dr. Calo is an assistant professor in Penn State College of Medicine’s departments of Public Health Sciences & Family and Community Medicine.
His research interests include:
- Vaccine communication
- Cancer prevention
- Reduction of health disparities among minority and rural populations
